Course Overview

Online Mental Health First Aid

Mental Health First Aid is an educational course which teaches people how to identify, understand and help a person who may be developing a mental health issue. In the same way as we learn physical first aid, Mental Health First Aid teaches you how to recognise those crucial warning signs of mental ill health.

Developed in Australia in 2000 and now internationally recognised in 25 countries, MHFA courses teach people how to recognise the signs and symptoms of common mental health issues, provide help on a first aid basis and effectively guide someone towards the right support.

Where a course provides lunch and refreshments, this includes dietary requirements (open face-to-face courses only). We will endeavour to cater for all learner needs but we do require notification in advance.

Learners are required to arrive at the course in good time. If the learner is unable to attend on the day of training due to unforeseen circumstances, we will still apply a charge, as we still incur costs for the training provision, and will not be able to offer the place to another client.

In the event of a cancellation, bookings will normally be transferred to the next available course unless the client specifically requests otherwise. As this is the case, we recommend you DO NOT book travel or accommodation until you receive our joining instructions (around 1-2 weeks before the start date), which confirms the training is going ahead.
